Cheer Hairpiece Refresh Prep: What to Remove Before Sending Your Posh In - The Perfect Posh

Cheer Hairpiece Refresh Prep: What to Remove Before Sending Your Posh In

Sending your Posh in for a refresh is the best way to keep it competition-ready all season long. But before you drop it in the mail, there’s one important step many people forget.

Proper refresh prep matters — and it protects both your hairpiece and your turnaround time.

Let’s talk about what to do (and what not to do).

✅ DO THIS: Remove All Added Tinsel, Extensions, and Accessories

Before sending your cheer hairpiece in for a refresh, please remove:

  • Tinsel
  • Bobby pins
  • Zipties
  • Rubber bands
  • Any additional attachments

Your Posh should arrive free of added elements.

Why?

Because added materials can:

  • Tangle into the base
  • Cause matting during washing
  • Damage the net
  • Interfere with styling
  • Delay production time

Removing these items ensures we can properly wash, reset, and restyle your Posh the way it was designed.

❌ NOT THAT: Ship It in With Zip Ties, & Bobby Pins

We understand competition season gets busy. But shipping your Posh in with leftover accessories or tangled add-ons can create unnecessary complications.

When additional items are left in:

  • The net can snag or tear
  • The base can weaken
  • Styling results may be compromised
  • Turnaround time may be delayed

And most importantly — we are not responsible for removing added tinsel or accessories before refresh services.

Why This Policy Matters

Your Posh was carefully constructed for durability and performance. However, third-party additions like tinsel or extra extensions change how the hairpiece behaves during washing and heat styling.

To protect:

  • The integrity of the net
  • The lifespan of your investment

The Simple Rule

Before shipping your Posh:

✔ Remove all added items
✔ Ship it accessory-free

Proper prep ensures a smooth refresh process and keeps your Posh looking beautiful competition after competition.
